Telling the stories of extraordinary people—and the companies they built.
Client: Global Diving & Salvage, 2013-2014

A corporate history tells the story of people: people who struggled, sacrificed, and ultimately triumphed to see their dreams realized.
I've had the honor of telling the stories of extraordinary people and their companies, ensuring those stories are told in a voice, pace, and style befitting each company's distinct culture.
I am the author of In Deep: The Story of Global Diving & Salvage, a corporate history commemorating the Seattle-based company's 35th anniversary. The book was published in April 2014 by Documentary Media.
I conducted interviews with 20 individuals and extensively researched the company's history and that of the diving industry.
I’ve also ghostwritten and assisted with corporate histories celebrating milestones for other multinational companies.
Here I am discussing In Deep at the West Seattle Barnes & Noble as part of their Words, Writers, & West Seattle series.
Archiving & oral histories
Keep and maintain artifacts and accomplishments for use today and for future generations. I can assemble, organize, and maintain a personal, family, or business archive. After thorough research and intense organizing, a multi-level archive helps users understand the past through an organized narrative that includes articles, testimonies, and other relevant materials.
Oral histories are an essential component of any archive, or a valuable stand-alone project. I record subjects' recollections in casual but productive (and fun) conversations, then transcribe, edit, and organize their memories for future use.
Samples of my archiving and oral history work, as well as references, are available upon request.
